Sierra Front says the Shooting Range Fire in Storey County near the Tahoe Reno Industrial Park has grown to about 1275 acres and is about 70% contained as of this afternoon. The fire is burning light fuels in a remote area. No structures are threatened. Smoke from the Shooting Range Fire was first reported around 5:25 Wednesday afternoon and quickly grew to 50 acres behind the Tesla Gigafactory. Resources include hand crews, brush engines and a dozer.
