Two-day Home Ignition Zone workshops scheduled for fall months
Learn to assess and reduce the risk of wildfire in wildland/urban interfaces, forests and grasslands. Participate in exercises and collaborative sessions. Workshops will be held September - November. Potential attendees include fire service professionals to foresters, developers, planners, insurance practitioners and anyone interested in reducing their wildfire risk.

Research Foundation releases wildfire regulatory and planning study
“Addressing Community Wildfire Risk: A Review and Assessment of Regulatory and Planning Tools,” a new study released by the Fire Protection Research Foundation, concludes collaboration, outreach and education programs are needed to achieve the greatest impact in reducing community wildfire risk.
