As you report wildland fire issues in your news coverage, residents and communities may wonder what they can do to reduce their wildfire vulnerability. Following are a few story ideas to consider. Contact the Firewise Media Relations Team for interviews and information.
• When you see a house still standing while others around it have burned, ask the question: "Why?" The answer may likely be fire-resistent roof and construction, reduced vegetation around the home, or other Firewise practices.
